I'm a teacher, and bad as it sounds, I dissuade people from giving me gifts--instead giving to a cause.

But I love this one, and though I'm not crafty, I might have to try it for myself. I'm bringing some geraniums here to school to winter. I could paint a pot and label them, "wintering."

As long as it isn't a TEACHER mug, LOL..I think I had over 100 in a box I donated..but I appreciated the thought!

oh my goodness, I love this idea. My friend has inspirations words all over her home and they look beautiful (she spent a pretty penny) and I've been working my brain overtime to come up with something I could do around my home that will not break the bank. Where I could write inspiration messages. This project would be perfect for that! nature plus inspiration, I can't wait to make mine. Thanks so much for the wonderful idea.

Thanks for all the sweet comments! The chalkboard paint I used was brush on, not spray. I haven't tried the spray kind yet so I don't know how well it works. :) ~Lanie

I was wondering did you use the chalkboard spray paint or regular paint? I have tries the spray on a plate and it didn't hold up-the chalk took the paint right off :( Maybe I am missing something?
